EBEC – European BEST Engineering Competition

TheEuropean BEST Engineering Competitionis an engineering competition that tests the problem-solving skills of hundreds of students across Europe in the fields of technology and science. Open to all students at top European universities, the competition consists of three rounds: Local, National, and European.

These three stages make up the EBEC pyramid. While the Local round is organized by the BEST group at each university, the National and European rounds allow participants to travel across Europe to meet and compete against students of all nationalities!

The Rome Tor Vergata regional round is structured as a two-day competition in which about twenty teams of four students each compete to solve two problems: the Case Study and the Team Design.

The case study involves solving a business-related problem and is very helpful in introducing students to the real-world challenges faced by large companies.
In the Team Design project, on the other hand, the group is tasked with creating a prototype within a limited timeframe and using limited resources, one that meets specific criteria or performs specific tasks.
